Gayle's extensive career began in 1980 as anchor/producer for the 6:00 and 11:00 o'clock newscasts of Southern Oregon NBC-TV affiliate KOBI. In 1984, with more than two thousand newscasts under her belt, she moved to San Francisco where she became a network television news reporter for ABC's KGO-TV. In 1985, Gayle returned to her beloved Southern Oregon to open up her own film and video production company. "Southern Oregon had all the elements that I found desirable in a place to live and do business. A great climate, lots of cultural and recreational opportunities, easy-going people and a brisk economy. I still feel the same way. Nothing beats it!"
