This is Explore Southern Oregon's 15th year on the air, all weekend, every weekend, all year. I know, I know...kind of hard to imagine how many hours that is but roughly, it's over 5,000 hours a year. Times that by 15 years and we have a show that's seen by a lot of people! I work with Arlis Duncan at Page One Productions in Jacksonville, Oregon, to produce this popular 90-minute television show that lets visitors and residents know what there is to see and do in Southern Oregon. In Jackson County, which is the Medford-Rogue Valley area, it airs on Channel 9. In Josephine County, home to the Grants Pass area, the program airs on Channel 14 Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.

Explore Southern Oregon has a strong internet presence as well. Check it out at www.sotravel.org. View the show in its entirety, watch videos of individual Southern Oregon communities, or see clips of individual businesses that underwrite this show.

2010 is Explore Southern Oregon's 15th consecutive year on television. The show has logged 80,000+ hours on the air. The Travelogue invites visitors to extend their stay, gives them reasons to come back for another visit, is enjoyed by people who are considering moving here and it also encourages residents to become tourists themselves by getting out and discovering all there is to see and do right here in Southern Oregon!
The Travelogue covers cultural and recreational attractions in the communities of Ashland, Jacksonville, Medford, Grants Pass, Talent, Central Point and the communities beyond the immediate Rogue Valley area such as Eagle Point and Shady Cove. From theater and museums, music events and art galleries to hiking, fishing, biking, skiing, boating and camping, Explore Southern Oregon gives you an armchair tour of one of the most desirable places in the country to live or visit!

Viewers experience magnificent, wild areas like the beautiful Wild & Scenic Rogue River, the sparkling, blue waters of Crater Lake and the natural beauty of the mountainous Upper Rogue. Of course, the video also takes audiences to world-renowned cultural attractions and seasonal events such as Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland and Britt Festival in Jacksonville, as well as other festivals and theaters, golf courses, jetboat rides, vinyards and artisan food tours. Viewers also get tips on shopping, dining and lodging opportunities.
