In 2008, jazz vocalist Gayle Wilson formed her own band in Ashland, Oregon. Recruiting players from the area’s best in piano, bass, drums, guitar, woodwinds and vocals, the group immediately began playing fundraisers, festivals, weddings, concerts, corporate events, dances, wineries, holiday parties and jazz cafes. Their success continues today.

The band is known for its polished sound and delivery. Several of the band members sing. Each member brings to the group his or her own extensive repertoire in jazz standards, contemporary jazz, pop rock and blues and because of this, on-the-spot requests are a specialty. With many years experience, there’s hardly a song they’re not familiar with.

The group is tailored in size to fit the needs of the venue. Trio, quartet, quintet or sextet, regardless of size, the range of music styles and genres is considerable. From sophisticated, easy-listening jazz to big band swing, latin grooves, classic rock, reggae or the blues, the band has many hundreds of songs in it’s repertoire.

Gayle enjoys being a bandleader, a position rarely held by a woman. In addition to being a jazz vocalist, she plays a variety of instruments and is a veteran performer of stage and television. Extensive credits are listed on her website.
